JEFF LEATHAM TURNS FOUR SEASONS PHILADELPHIA INTO A WINTER WONDERLAND

Leatham is an American designer mainly associated with floral design. He was awarded the Chevalier Legion of Honour from the nation of France in 2014. TRAVEL SPOTLIGHT: NAPA'S FAMOUS CHEF POPS UP IN OJAI, CALIFORNIA THIS WINTER

The Restaurant at Meadowood Napa is taking their famous show on the road this winter. From January 6 to February 28, 2021, The Farmhouse at Ojaj Valley Inn and Spa will welcome Chef Christopher Kostow for a pop-up Winter Residency.

Chef Kostow will present a six-course meal for the senses reflective of the Michelin Guide 3-star experience at The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley. The dinner will feature local ingredients grown in both Napa and Ojai that celebrate the stories of the artisans, growers, and foragers of these dynamic California valleys.

About Christopher Kostow

Christopher Kostow is the critically acclaimed chef of The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena, California and the third youngest chef to ever receive three Michelin stars. Kostow draws upon his own American upbringing and the singular beauty and bounty of the Napa Valley to cook food that is thoughtful, personal, and in concert with his community and collaborators.

Christopher, a Chicago native, graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in philosophy before moving to the kitchen. He has cooked with celebrated chefs such as Trey Foshee of Georges at the Cove in San Diego, Campton Place in San Francisco with Daniel Humm and Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, France. WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

GETTING HERE: 45 minutes north of Salt Lake City, UT Airport and 25 minutes north of Park City by car or ten minute heli from the airport for those who want to make an epic arrival.

ACTIVITIES: With the slopes only 25 minutes away, winter conditions call for ski ( heli-ski offered as well ) while summer/fall days are ideal for hiking, mountain biking, ATV rides, fly fishing ( heli-fly offered as well ) clay shooting, horseback riding and an adventure/farm camp for kids.

ON OUR RADAR: A HOTEL HALLOWEEN

With Halloween activities being cancelled for so many clients in New England and the tri-state area, we decided to get creative and put together a wonderful alternative for our mini superheroes and goblins. MAPPS is proud to partner with Chatham Bars Inn, offering our families a seaside Halloween weekend filled with pumpkins, facemask decorating, a costumed Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt, candy, bonfires, s’mores and plenty of apple cider and hot chocolate. While the weather may feel a bit chilly for a swim, guests can still enjoy the tennis courts, golf course, spa, bikes, sailing experiences and visit their nearby farmstand. Friday, October 30th
5:00pm – Family Pumpkin Carving & Mask Decorating
Carve a pumpkin, drink cider or hot cocoa, and decorate a fabric facemask for trick or treating! Pumpkins will be on display during the Bonfire Boo Bash.
Each session will be limited to 30 guests. Please inquire about advanced sign-ups for a time slot when booking your reservations for accommodations. 

Saturday, October 31st

All the carved pumpkins will be on display on the deck along with a Giant Pumpkin Lighting, Tiki Torches, Spooky Music, Bonfires, S’mores & Cider!

6:00pm – 8:30pm Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt and Bonfire Boo Bash (second session)

CAMP SARIKA

ON OUR RADAR: THE MARK SAILBOAT

Looking for the perfect spot for a summer celebration or a romantic evening on the water? Look no further then The Mark Hotel’s spectacular, luxurious Sailboat.
